Abadoss: +++++++++++++ (13) Reaktorz0: +++++++ (7) Bren: +++++++++ (9) ------- Abadoss ++ ------- Reaktorz0: I definitely like the atmosphere that you have going. Without the wind effects and the chime-like synths at the beginning, I'd have a hard time getting a feel for the theme, though. The solo-esque at 1:43 is nice. While I understand that this is progressive in nature, it does get a bit repetative. Good production, although a bit loud. Overall, well executed. Bren: Your piece definitely has a very Christmas-y feel to it. It might just be the jinglebells, though. Nice development on the opening theme at 1:29. It does feel a little commercial, though (I can half imagine a Target logo being thrown around in cotton snow). I'm not a particular fan of fade-outs in general. I'm a pretty firm believer that a piece should end, in some fashion or another. Doesn't mean it has to be final, or even consonnant. Just needs to have an ending, that's all. Production is good. I don't like the synth you chose all that much, but it does work for what you did with it. I appreciate that you chose to do something a little more light-hearted than what tends to come up in these competitions. It definitely makes for variety. First place: Bren Honorable mention: Reaktorz0 ------- Bundeslang ------- Abadoss: Abadoss created a nice intro and some good strings, but overal I liked the arranging from Reactor Z0 better. 4:13 was a bit too much for this. Reaktorz0: I liked the entry of ReactorZ0, he used nice samples and his song was well mixed. The only thing I disliked was the ending of the song. Bren: Bren started nice with a great intro, the best of the 3. After a while I had enough and I believe that the last 10 seconds of the song should be cutted out. First place: Reaktorz0 Honorable mention: Bren and Abadoss ------- Reaktorz0 ++ ------- Abadoss: Your song sounds pretty good too, but would be a lot more suited for an Ice Dungeon, or Frozen Cave or something... the impression of vast open fields, omnipresent in your description, is completely absent from your song... I think I'll blame it on the reverb. Anyway, awesome ice dungeon/cave theme Bren: Your song is pretty nice, and matches your description perfectly. I could perfectly see the happy snow city that goes with it just by listening to it. First place: Bren Honorable mention: Abadoss ------- The Lone Gunman ------- Abadoss: Out of all three, I think it reflects the "snow" theme the best, has the best production, and has some good melodies. Reaktorz0: Reak's entry was better melodically. However, its production wasn't as good, giving it my "honorable mention". Bren: Same goes with Bren, A damn good entry, but, again, not as good production IMO. First place: Abadoss Honorable mention: Reaktorz0 and Bren ------- DarkCecil13 ------- Abadoss: I'm a sucker for the style of music you wrote this one in. I think this song would fit well into an elder scrolls game. A wintery area. Reaktorz0: It was really groovy. It was certainly fun to listen to. Bren: I felt that it was kind of unoriginal, but still something nice to listen to. A typical wintery song. First place: Abadoss ------- Gimgak ------- Abadoss: I loved this. It really made me feel cold at some points. Reaktorz0: Yours was pretty good, I just don't think the style you chose for your song fit with the theme all that well. Bren: I think you hit the style you were going for here head on. The perfect theme for some sort of snowy vilage/city. It just may have gotten a tad bit too repetitive, but other than that it was pretty good. First place: Abadoss Honorable mention: Bren
